Working notes
Adoption starts before launch.
A new platform becomes valuable when people can use it to do their work well. That starts while the problem and future state are still being defined.
The people affected need a voice in the design. Their experience exposes practical constraints and helps show which steps need to be simpler, which decisions need clearer ownership, and which information must be available.
Leaders also shape whether the change takes hold. If the agreed workflow captures decisions but those decisions still happen through private messages, teams have little reason to trust or maintain the system. Everyday leadership behavior needs to support the new way of working.
Training and communication help, but feedback from actual use is just as important. Look for requests that stall, duplicated records, and work that moves back into email. Those are clues about where the design or support needs attention.
The aim is a way of working people can sustain: useful information, clear next steps, and enough confidence in the system to rely on it.
